Bring your friends for Bingo at the La Plata County Senior Center! This is a great opportunity to check out your local La Plata County Senior Center and stay for a fun afternoon of Bingo. Did you know the Senior Center has great lunches with a salad bar? Did you know they have Zumba, line dancing, computers, a library and even a thrift store and transportation too? Check it out! Traditionally one of SNOWDOWN'S wildest events! Coed teams of your favorite local servers from area restaurants compete in a fun and frequently messy obstacle course incorporating waiting skills with a bit of a SNOWDOWN twist! Teams must be comprised of 2 male and 2 female members of local restaurant wait staff over the age of 21. All teams are required to show their ID and sign a waiver before competing. See you there!

4 PM BED RACES

100 Club - Between 7th & 8th on Main
On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair…I must be riding in the Bed Races again! Participate in Durango's craziest and most fun event in what is sure to be an action-packed spectacle. Compete head-to-head against other teams for the Bed Race Trophy. The event will be held on Main before the start of the SNOWDOWN Light Parade. This event is a fundraiser for the Durango 100 Club. Support a great cause and have one heck of a time. The start/finish line will be in the middle of the block with races going off in both directions (north/south) in each lane. You'll race head-to-head against the team next to you. First team to cross the finish line advances to the next round. Beds are provided. You'll need a team of 5, a SNOWDOWN themed onesie, helmets for everyone, and proper footwear. Teams of 5 (4 people pushing the bed, one person on the bed). Person on the bed exchanges onesie with one of the runners at the turn around point.

Teams will participate in different games challenging their speed, smarts, and Rock Star status, making their way through a bracket to see who ends up on top! All four players must participate in every game. Space is limited!

Hosted by Purgatory Resort, Durango’s only nighttime parade, where Rock and Roll light up floats create a dazzling delight. Floats compete for trophies in 10 divisions with special emphasis on lights and theme.

Back for its 2nd year, the Durango Balloon SNOWDOWN Costume Ball, Balloon Drop, and Post Parade Awards Ceremony is not to be missed! New this year is the SNOWDOWN Committees involvement! Meet the SNOWDOWN 2020 festival organizers, as well as hear the live Post Parade Float winners! Parade Categories include Best of Show, Best Lights, Best use of Theme, Best Balloon and more! Our friends "The Hillstompers" will be playing again with their bright costumes, big band instruments and music to fit this years theme - Rock N' SNOWDOWN! This event features live music, drinks and entertainment!

SNOWDOWN Follies return for the 37th year of entertainment with your favorite showbiz personalities and local commentary! This notorious irreverent review performs in two different theaters simultaneously, Really! Cash bar! Ticket purchases limited to four per person for this show performed by an all-volunteer cast and crew. Ticket sales support SNOWDOWN, This is Adult entertainment. Visit WWW.SNOWDOWNFOLLIES.ORG for complete details. Mail-in ticket drawing: December 7, 2019. Secret box office: Saturday January 18, 2020 at 6 AM. Radio stations KIQX, KRSJ and KIUP will announce over the air clues to the secret locations where morning enthusiasts can line up to obtain coupons for the purchase of SNOWDOWN Follies tickets. Actual ticket sales will commence at 6:30 AM at the Elks Lodge, 9th St. entrance. Ticket marketplace at Bank of the San Juans: 12 tickets will be sold (in lots of 4) to the highest bidder each day for four days beginning Tuesday Jan 21 through Friday Jan 24.
