(Thur) 6 PM KAYAK POOL SLALOM
Durango Recreation Center - 2700 Main Ave.
Kayak pool slalom and “paddles-up”. A new and zany test of skill. Two events at the same time! All types of floating craft are welcome. Kayak slalom has 21 gates to challenge your nimble skills. Time plus penalties determines winner of the coveted treasures and fame above the high tide mark

(Wed) 6 PM SNOWDOWN BICYCLE ROLLER RACES
Smiley Building –1309 E. 3rd Ave. Hosted by the Durango Wheel Club
Head-to-head bicycle races on stationary indoor rollers, contestants provide their own bicycles, road-type with 700c front wheels are necessary. Furthest distance covered in 15 minutes wins. Categories: men 18-45; men 45+; women – 18- 40; women over 40; and men & women under 18 years. All participants will compete for prizes.

It’s a race against the clock to see how many delightful little raw oysters can slither down your throat! Cheerleaders and appropriate beach attire encouraged! Must register a week in advanc

Entry Deadline: Call to enter 247-4702, limited to the first 5 men and first 5 women who sign up. (so 10 entries max)

2. (Thur) 6:30 PM PEACE JAM DODGEBALL
Durango Recreation Center – 2700 Main Hosted by Southern Ute Community Action Programs (SUCAP)
Change: On this event the coordinators would like you to know that space is limited!!!
A dodge ball tournament, with elimination rounds so each team plays at least two games, plus finals. Each team must have at least six members and at least two women; maximum six on the court at once, four additional substitutes are allowed. National rules apply and this is for adults 18 and over.
