SNOWDOWN HASH HOUSE RUN
Best Western Mountain Shadows - 3255 Main Ave.
Hosted by Durango Hash House Harriers.
Hashers are described as "the lunatic fringe of running!" The premise is simple; one harrier (the hare) lays a trail of flour over a course (s)he chooses. The other harriers (the hounds) try to follow that trail to the end where we enjoy munchies and drinks (any pirate or wench would run miles fer a good drink!) or soft drinks. The typical hash is 3-5 miles over hill and dale, through woods. The hash isn't a race. No prizes to the swift, exeptinÕ maybe first dibs on any booty ye find! Following the trail is the challenge with camaraderie and beverages the reward. Bring a sense of humor and a whistle, and yer pirate garb if ye like. For the history of the Hash House Harriers check out harrier.net/primer/history/html.
Eagle Trail: An optional section of trail, longer or more difficult
than the standard trail.
Turkey Trail: Optional section of trail, normally shorter and easier
than the main trail.
